Description
What this medicine is for
Vardenafil is a prescription treatment for erectile dysfunction (ED) in adult men. Erectile dysfunction is the inability to achieve or maintain an erection sufficient for satisfactory sexual activity.
ED can affect men of all ages and may be associated with factors such as stress, anxiety, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, or other underlying health conditions.
How it works
Vardenafil belongs to a group of medicines known as phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors.
It works by increasing blood flow to the penis during sexual stimulation, helping men achieve and maintain an erection. Sexual stimulation is still required for the medicine to work.
Vardenafil typically starts working within 30 to 60 minutes and its effects may last for up to 4 to 6 hours. It is available in 5mg, 10mg, and 20mg strengths, allowing treatment to be tailored to individual needs.
