Description
Doxycycline is a prescription antibiotic widely used for the prevention of malaria caused by Plasmodium species, especially in regions with drug-resistant strains. It works by inhibiting the growth of the malaria parasite during the blood stage of infection.
Recommended for adults travelling to areas with a high risk of malaria, including parts of Africa, Asia, and South America, doxycycline must be started 1–2 days before entering the malaria zone, taken daily during exposure, and continued for 4 weeks after leaving.

Directions for Use:

Start 1–2 days before travel to malaria-risk area

Take 1 tablet daily, preferably with food to reduce stomach upset

Continue daily during travel and for 4 weeks after leaving the area
Warnings:
Not suitable for children under 8 years, pregnant or breastfeeding women. May increase sensitivity to sunlight—avoid prolonged sun exposure and use sunscreen. Do not take with antacids or dairy products close to the dosing time. Consult a healthcare professional before use.
