Description

Bactroban 2% Cream and Bactroban 2% Ointment contain mupirocin, a powerful topical antibiotic used to treat localized bacterial skin infections. These include impetigo, infected minor wounds, cuts, abrasions, and folliculitis. Mupirocin works by stopping the growth of certain bacteria, including Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus species.

The cream is water-based and ideal for moist or weeping skin conditions, while the ointment is oil-based and better suited for dry or cracked skin. Both formulations are suitable for short-term use in adults and children under medical supervision.
