Losec MUPS – Orodispersible Omeprazole for Acid Relief

Losec MUPS contains omeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that significantly reduces stomach acid. It’s used to treat:

• Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GORD) / heartburn

• Peptic ulcers (gastric/duodenal), including NSAID-related ulcers

• Part of H. pylori eradication therapy with antibiotics

• Conditions with excessive acid production (e.g. Zollinger–Ellison syndrome)

• The MUPS (Multiple Unit Pellet System) tablets dissolve in the mouth or with water, making them ideal for those with swallowing difficulties

A typical adult dosage is 20 mg once daily, taken approximately 30–60 minutes before breakfast. For severe cases, 40 mg once daily may be prescribed .
